COTY Asia R&D (Research&Development) Design Intern (Shanghai)

Coty Inc. is an American multinational beauty company founded in 1904. With its subsidiaries, it develops, manufactures, markets, and distributes fragrances, cosmetics, skin care, nail care, and both professional and retail hair care products.

Coty is looking for undergraduate/graduate student who are interested in a 6-month internship opportunity in R&D Packaging Team. The internship position involves contributing as part of a team toward project management within both insight research and innovation. You will be an integral part of our internal packaging development team and your responsibilities will include all aspects of consumer research and front-end design process, ranging from problem definition, consumer research analysis to brainstorming, visualizing, and prototyping ideas. Interns will participate in cross-functional teams using design/research tools to look for new opportunities across the range of brands under Coty.

Major: Packaging Design / Product Design
Time period: 3-6 months
On-duty days: at least 3 days / week

Responsibilities / Duties:
-Marketing & creative support: marketing/user insight research, data analysis
-Design: Product/ Packaging design and research about beauty products.
-Other support from team member’s request

Essential Skills:
-Language: fluent in English (both speaking and writing)
-Good writing and communication skill
-Self-starter with outstanding attention to detail and problem-solving ability
-Ability to collaborate and thrive within a multi-disciplinary team
-Highly organized, ability to stay on track and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

Preference:
-2nd foreign language
-Knowledge on packaging test, structure, material, etc.
-Experience with 2D software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
-Sketching, ideation, superior visual communication skills
